Incomplete data recorded immediately after Server startup
Problem: Facial Expressions recordings and videos may turn out incomplete when sessions are recorded shortly after the NoldusHub server was restarted. So, when the following steps are performed in sequence, without pause, recordings may turn out to be incomplete:
- StopNoldushub.bat and then StartNoldusHub.bat (on server)
- Select location and start recording
OR
- Reboot NoldusHub server computer
- Select location and start recording
So, (re-)starting the NoldusHub server (without rebooting the server hardware) may cause this problem.
Explanation: Starting up NoldusHub takes time. These initial processes can take up to 5 minutes to complete. Although it is not likely to happen during normal use, a speedy sequence of starting up the server, starting participant stations, finishing a calibration and then recording a session may cause the collection of data while not all startup processes have been fully completed. In that case, not all data processing for recording is completed. Hence, data will be lost.
Solution: Wait at least 5 minutes after restarting the NoldusHub server before performing Participant station actions (restarting, starting recordings).
